Pre-Raphaelite Exhibition Installation (Linda)
Pushkin Museum, Moscow
2013
Tate Art Gallery, London & Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester
In June 2013 a major Pre-Raphaelite exhibition was installed in Moscow. Linda was asked to assist with the installation of a large two-light William Morris window from the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester.
The exhibition arrived at the Pushkin Museum in crated boxes.
The crates were moved into position in the great hall, before unpacking for display
Each panel was unpacked, photographed and condition reported before installation.
The windows are by Edward Burne Jones / William Morris & Co, and depict two beautiful angels playing musical instruments.
The windows safely installed next to a series of small panels from the V&A in London.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the main hall, extraordinary paintings kept being un-boxed. Fabulous beyond fabulous.
Including Ophelia. The exhibition was so successful it was further extended until October 2013.
