This beautiful window was accidentally damaged. It needed to be repaired in two days, in time for an important dinner which was due to be held in the Library. |  |
The broken glass had been hit by something hard, from the inside. The exterior protective glass was not damaged. It was important to know which side had been hit, so the cause could be known. Lawyers need evidence! |  |
There was not enough time to safely conserve the broken glass using epoxy resin, so a new copy was painted. |  |
