Two large, very heavy, framed windows had to be taken off display and safely stored for re-use of gallery space. |  |
Removal involved the use of hoists, scaffolding, pulleys, roof posts, team effort and gentle brute force. |  |
When the windows were delicately balanced, they had to be carefully unhooked from the back before finally lowered to the ground. |  |
